Texans owner Bob McNair has full confidence in his team’s outlook on the season with rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson helping lead an offensive turnaround.
McNair, the first from Houston to receive the award, will be honored in a March 1 banquet at The Houstonian.
This is the sixth time the Texas Sports Hall of Fame has presented the award to a Texan “whose vision and service in the world of sports have left a lasting legacy.”
McNair is being honored because he brought an NFL franchise back to Houston to replace the Oilers and for his contributions to the Houston community.
