Miguel Diaz is a proud native of San Angelo, Texas, and a lifelong learner with a gift for turning science into storytelling. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology and Biochemistry from Angelo State University and spent five years in pharmacy work before completing his master’s in Microbiology at Texas A&M–Corpus Christi.
His career initially led him into public service, where he spent six years with the City of Corpus Christi protecting public health – first as an Environmental Health Specialist, then as Chief Operator at the city’s water treatment plant. After years of testing water quality and solving operational challenges, Miguel shifted his focus from treatment plants to storytelling.
Today, he brings that same precision and purpose to the Crosswind Media & Public Relations team, where he supports statewide and national campaigns through video production, photography, and animation. Miguel blends scientific clarity with creative strategy – helping communities, organizations, and brands tell their stories with authenticity and impact.
Outside the studio, he’s a dad of two, drone pilot, and self-proclaimed taco critic. He firmly believes creativity- like good salsa – should always have a little kick.
