Lisa Schmidt is General Manager of Crosswind Media & Public Relations. She is also an accomplished talent agent, and an operations executive with more than 30 years of experience booking and placing talent in the publishing, entertainment, and media industries
At Crosswind, Lisa oversees agency operations across Texas and the U.S. and is based in Austin TX. As Crosswind GM, she maintains direct and frequent contact with all clients and oversees plans, media outreach, accounting, staff performance and deadlines.
Lisa is also an incurable adventurer who has traveled the world, with visits and extended stays to multiple countries in the Americas and Europe, but her favorite adventures have been journeying to some of the remotest locations on earth, including the islands of Honduras, Belize and Panama. She remembers with particular fondness her extended time with the textile-rich indigenous Guna people in the isolated San Blas island archipelago in the Caribbean Sea which required an arduous ocean and land journey to reach.
When back home in Texas, Lisa is outdoors as often as possible. Her favorite escape is camping on the Texas coast with her husband and Weimaraner, Oliver, keeping an ever-watchful eye on the open sky and beautiful Texas sunsets … but she keeps her best cowskin rodeo boots safely at home and far from her saltwater adventures.
Before joining Crosswind, she spent several years as a busy agent and booking rep at the Fedd Agency which sits just north of Barton Creek, the gateway to the Texas Hill Country. The Fedd Agency, during Lisa’s time there represented more than 50 New York Times best-selling books and over 300 high-visibility authors and celebrity influencers from around the world. Lisa was also able to place many of those authors in top-tier media, including Fox, CNN, USA Today, Christianity Today, the Wall Street Journal, NPR, and The New York Times.
She is also an accomplished expert in the needs and demands of the reality television industry and maintains connections to some of the most prolific docuseries producers in this country and abroad.
