Thank you very much for attending Monday night’s reception in Austin.
The event was a huge success. We had a terrific cross-section of business, education and community leaders, many of whom have worked alongside me on various issues since my election to the Board. Rest assured that all campaign donations received will go toward continuing my efforts to engage all Texans in important conversations about improving the quality of education we adults deliver to all Texas children.
As the governor so eloquently noted at Monday’s event, we cannot have an attitude of mediocrity when it comes to education. Why? The answer is clear: Today’s students will be those who make our economy work tomorrow. If Texas is to continue to grow in economic vigor and vitality, it will be primarily up to the students we graduate from our public schools.
Your contributions will keep that conversation going throughout the state this year. Thank you for your generous support. We will need more help as the year goes on, so please tell your friends and encourage them to support a brighter future for all Texans by joining with us in this ongoing and crucial effort to maintain the state’s formidable economic momentum.
I can’t do it without you. Thank you so much again for being so generous with time and support.
