William Bandy is an account executive for Crosswind Media & Public Relations and a book lover living in Austin, Texas. Born and raised in San Antonio, he loves breakfast tacos, Fiesta, and the San Antonio Spurs. Will’s passion for sports is usurped only by his love for fantasy novels, especially the works of Brandon Sanderson. He recommends his seminal work The Stormlight Archive to anyone ready to invest in fantasy epics.
Will attended the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in radio-television-film. His studies sparked his political interest, and following graduation, he moved to Washington, D.C., to develop his skills in media outreach, press release drafting, and constituent communications while working as a special assistant in the US House of Representatives. This job helped develop his ability to navigate the complexities and difficulties of political communication.
Will’s love for Texas and his alma mater, the University of Texas at Austin, runs deep. As a passionate Longhorn, he bleeds burnt orange. His strong communication skills were put to good use during his tenure as the Social Events chair of the Longhorn Hellraisers, a super fan organization dedicated to supporting Texas Athletics. The Hellraisers served as a main source of team spirit for the University on occasions such as Big Noon Kickoff and College Gameday.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Will is a passionate cinephile. He often enjoys films from several of his favorite directors, like Greta Gerwig and Hayao Miyazaki. He also loves eating new food from several different cultures worldwide and one day dreams of becoming a regular Anthony Bourdain.
In his spare time, Will enjoys staying active by visiting his favorite place in the world, John Knox Ranch. He enjoys hiking and finding peace in the beautiful nature of the Texas Hill Country. Will also enjoyed his time spent in London, engaging with several different cultures, watching plays in the West End, and exploring the vibrant cityscape of our neighbors across the pond.
