Richard Kelley is a San Antonio native with a long family tradition of elected public service in Texas. He is a film buff (Alamo Drafthouse has been a second home to him) and is an admitted public policy wonk with time spent as a legislative intern and policy aide for the Texas House Republican Caucus, working under the pink dome of the State Capitol Building. Richard’s standout passion is a life-long commitment to animal welfare across the state, with time served as a volunteer and adoption counselor with Austin Pets Alive, the country’s largest no-kill animal shelter. He has recently married and moved to the species-rich Corpus Christi area facing the beautiful, always challenging Gulf of Mexico.
